Guest-Ready? Last Minute Checks for Your Airbnb

Airbnb Checks

Getting your apartment ready for your guests? It can be a little nerve-wracking, but don’t worry! We’ve put together a list of last minute checks to make sure your place is guest-ready.

From making the beds to stocking the fridge, we’ll help you cover all of your bases so that you can relax and enjoy your guests’ company!

Why Do Last Minute Checks?

Last minute checks are important for two reasons.

First, they help ensure that your guests have a pleasant stay and don’t experience any unexpected hiccups during their visit.

Second, last minute checks can help you avoid potential legal issues if something goes wrong with the property while your guest is there.

So it’s definitely worth taking the time to double-check everything before your guests arrive!

What to Check Before Your Guests Arrive

1. Cleanliness

It’s important to make sure that your space is clean and tidy before guests arrive. Check all surfaces in the property, vacuum, dust, and mop the floors. Make sure there is no dirt or grime on walls or carpets. Bathrooms should be spotless, with clean towels and toiletries.

2. Beds

Make sure that all of the beds are made up properly with fresh sheets and blankets. Check for any stains or tears in the fabric, and replace if necessary. Dust off any surfaces such as headboards or nightstands. Fluff pillows and replace any flat or lumpy ones.

3. Working Appliances

Test out all of the appliances in the apartment to make sure they’re working properly. This includes stoves, ovens, dishwashers, microwaves, refrigerators, washers and dryers.

If you find something isn’t working, make sure to contact a repair service as soon as possible. If it can’t be repaired in time, let the guests know so they can plan accordingly.

3. Safety Checks

Check all of the safety features in the apartment such as smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors. Check also for any potential safety hazards such as loose wiring or exposed outlets.

Make sure all windows and doors are secure with functioning locks too. This must be given special care if children are visiting.

4. Necessities

Ensure that the property has all of the necessary amenities for your guests. This includes fresh towels and linens, toiletries, kitchen essentials such as dishes, pots and pans, trash bags, cleaning supplies, etc.

5. Fridge & Pantry

Make sure the fridge and pantry are stocked with food items that your guests may need during their stay. This can include basic items such as milk, eggs, bread, butter, cereal and snacks. Do not forget about water and ice too!

By following these simple steps, you can make sure that your Airbnb is guest-ready!

Once you’ve taken care of these last minute checks, you can sit back and relax knowing that your guests will have a pleasant stay in your home.

Good luck!
